Science Keeps Bringing Good Things to Humankind!
Science is a great and marvelous thing. Before science, no air conditioning. After science, automobiles with air conditioning. Homes with air conditioning. (I live in Texas, and air conditioning is good! Hot summers !!) Medical advances. Breakthroughs in understanding of the physical world that have been have been trememdous to say the least. I could not even scratch the surface of what science has brought to our lives in one hundred pages like this. (and I am barely keeping up with a tiny percentage of the new discoveries made in science every year!)
The sciences are deeply involved in developing new technologies, and pure research into how the physical work works and how it came to be. Contemplation of the reality of God and Soul does not factor into the scientific equation too much, it seems (I know it does for many scientists). For many other scientists, though, the data shows that the universe is explainable without a creator being involved. And so there is no need to posit an imaginary one. For others, the uncertainty principle seemingly inherent (yes, of course the math works to prove these principles) in the physical world leads to the agnostic or athiestic point of view.
Perhaps there is a possibility that using "logic" in this manner, which works so incredibly well for science amd technology of the material universe might not be quite as sharp a tool for discovering a "higher" principle than this material universe in which we seem to be stuck.
Of course one can counter this argument by saying that it is easy to use false logic and "reverse" any statement, theory, line of reasoning, etc. That is certainly true. You say potato, I say potata. (That sentence may not translate) But using false logic is not my intention. The best way to determine the truth of the higher reality of:
God and Soul
Inner Science of Yoga
Is through the "inner" science of yoga (or similar esoteric technique), especially with a technique of pranayama such as Kriya yoga, which pulls the life force energy (prana) away from the senses directed outward to the world, and inward to the intuition of the reality of God and Soul. This is not a hallucination, mental construction, fantasy, reverie, or delusion treatable with drugs. If you have actually practiced the technique (or a similar yogic or spiritual technique) to a certain level and seen the results, then you can judge for yourself.
Ordinary Extraordinary
One of the most interesting aspects of the sense reversal is that it can be very "ordinary," in a sense. The results may not be at all like they seem to be portrayed in religious pictures, with glorious haloes of light, visions of angels and higher beings in the heavenly realms, Gideon's trumpets, etc. I never rule anything out, of course. But, I am saying that reversing the life force energy can be very ordinary in the sense that merely a different (expanded) view of the self (you) may be observed. Still you. Not somebody else. Not obsessively different, or weirdly alien in any way. Still you, but you with more head room. I would not be so egotistical as to attempt to describe other people's experiences, or assume I am an authority on spiritual experiences of course.
Spooky Science
And am I getting off the subject of this question? Not really. The reason science cannot find God? I think they will. I think they already have had some powerful glimpses, but it is spooky. Many decades ago, scientists studying electron behavior (I guess) found out that electrons that have an association with each other can be separated even by great, huge distances, such as on oppposite sides of the Universe ... and if one electron changes its spin, the other one changes, too. How do the electrons know? Spooky. That is the "scientific" word for it. Is this evidence that God created the heavens and the earth? Probably not enough for most scientists.
And I must remind myself, often, that the so called solid earth beneath my feet is composed of atoms which are over 99% empty space. I am walking on space. I am typing on space. I am space. I am a spaceman. What is the difference between me sitting here typing this, and empty space? Well, there is some sort of "collective force organization" of space here where I sit. In empty space there is about .001% less than here! Scientists of the world please correct me if that number is wrong, and please tell me WHAT DOES THAT MEAN !? haha
It is a weird world all right. And please consider taking up the practice of Kriya yoga. It is a discipline. It is not fun like watching TV. But amazing revelations happen that lead one to see the world in a different light. The light of:
God and Soul
Not a Guru Salesman
I am not trying to "bring in followers" to my religion. I do think you will be astounded (and happy) by what you realize about the Self, the Soul, God, and the Universe, by the practice of Kriya Yoga. Not only by faith, but directly by the practice of the inner science. By your experiments in inner consciousness. And by the way, I have a feeling that the scientists will make some unusual discoveries about the "material" universe. They are already getting there. When it comes to "belief," I think it is only a matter of time until modern science finds ... something ...
Will it be their cherished Higgs Boson particle, the so called God particle which makes God unnecessary? Well, it will not really change anything for me. That is not because I'm a dumbass religious nut. I may be that, it is true. (I had to say that, because this is the “science” page, and objectivity is what this page is all about! But, whatever science finds, it will make no difference, at least to me, as Rev. Robert. That is not because I have no interest in science. I always have, actually. It's because of my dumbass religious nature, which trumps my science nature every time.
Science, you see, does not have what I want, or need. Well, not exactly true. Like I already said, I need air conditioners (at least as long as I live in Texas). And I need a computer. Perhaps I just want one. I probably could actually live without an air conditioner or a computer. But not in Texas!
Still, even if science finds the particle so ultimate that it explains why I have to get up three times every night (how's that coming, by the way?), I will never ever go with their dead end philosophy. Well, I really should be honest here, and say, their dead philosophy. Yes, their philosophy is dead, as dead as dead gets. Where are we all going after the big one? Heart attack I mean? Well, we are all going out to the landfill, to spend eternity with my dead computer and dead air conditioner.
I'm just gonna keep on with the hope philosophy. And since I have been practicing yoga, I have a lot of inner reassurance about it (hope ... well, air conditioned hope anyway).
