Godandsoul.org is an Interfaith website ministry, begun by Rev. Robert Terrell, D.Div. in 2006. I, Robert, am an ordained Interfaith minister. My ordination is through the Esoteric Theological Seminary, Gainesville, Florida, by order of the Esoteric Interfaith Church, Inc., of Granbury, Texas.
And, I am ordained through the Esoteric Interfaith Church, Inc., as a Spiritual Minister. This ordination is allied closely with my crystal healing work. Please visit our other spiritual website: crystalhealer.com. It is an integral part of the ongoing spiritual ministry of Godandsoul.org.
The Esoteric Theological Seminary has also awarded me the Doctor of Divinity degree. My doctoral thesis is titled, "The Nature and Practice of Spiritual Advancement."
The web design and all articles and web pages on Godandsoul.org are copyright 2005 - 2008 all rights reserved. Of course, if you have been reading some of the web page text, and articles on this site, you might hopefully come to the conclusion that a major goal of the web designer, and the organizational mission of Godandsoul.org as a whole is strongly influenced by the practice of "transcendence of egoity, in all its forms."
Therefore, all rights reserved means: If you are interested in using something from this website for your project, and would kindly be willing to email beforehand, there is likely no problem with it. We would like to have some sort of "recognition" for the spiritual work of Godandsoul.org, in order to further its mission.

Privacy Policy

updated March 22, 2008

To better protect your privacy we provide this notice explaining our online information practices and the choices you can make about the way your information is collected and used. To make this notice easy to find, we make it available on this special page and at every point where personally identifiable information may be requested.

Our Commitment To Children's Privacy:

Protecting the privacy of the very young is especially important. For that reason, we never collect or maintain information at my website from those we actually know are under 13, and no part of our website is structured to attract anyone under 13.

The Information We Collect:

This notice applies to all information collected or submitted on the Godandsoul.org website. On some pages, you can make donations, make requests, and register to receive materials. (some of this is planned for the future) The types of personal information collected at these pages are:
  • Name
  • Address
  • Email address
  • Phone number
  • Credit/Debit Card Information - by PayPal only, for setting up an account.

The Way We Use Information:

We use the information you provide about yourself when making a donation only for making the donation. We do not share this information with outside parties except to the extent necessary to complete the donation.
We use return email addresses to answer the email We receive. Such addresses are not used for any other purpose and are not shared with outside parties.
You can register with my website if you would like to receive any possible future newsletters as well as any announcements and services. Information you submit on this website will not be used for this purpose unless you email us and request it.
We do not give out identities of aggregate information to be shared with advertisers. Such information is sometimes used, for example, to tell an advertiser that X number of individuals visited a certain area on a website, or that Y number of men and Z number of women filled out a registration form, but we do not disclose anything that could be used to identify those individuals. Since we are not advertising any "products" we are not in a real marketing business. We do track general stats on websites and page visitors, but only in a very general way (we do not know who the visitors are - just that there were X number of visitors to page Y on a certain day). This is to help us determine what seems to be of greatest interst to you, the visitors.
Finally, we never use or share the personally identifiable information provided to us online in ways unrelated to the ones described above without also providing you an opportunity to opt out or otherwise prohibit such unrelated uses. (This is just an FYI. Nothing of this sort is occurring now, and we certainly have no future plans for any sort of stinky internet marketing schemes in the future!)

Data Security Information

To prevent unauthorized access, maintain data accuracy, and ensure the correct use of information, we have put in place appropriate physical, electronic, and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online.
This is very important! Some people are still nervous about using credit cards online. In our case, it would be for donations to help support the work of Godandsoul.org. (a .org website is used for a tax exempt, nonprofit organization, such as a church, etc. like godandsoul.org). If proper procedures are followed, online purchases or donations can be safe, and certainly very convenient.

Credit Card Information Security

Your credit card information needs to be protected. That, in large part, is up to you. We are going to give a general discussion of data protection first, and then a specific discussion regarding Godandsoul.org. There are safeguards in place on the internet. First of all, when you have decided to make a purchase or donation, you will most likely click on a shopping cart. When you arrive there, first of all, check the address field (where you type the name of a website) and make certain you see HTTPS at the beginning. This means you are connected to a Secure Socket Layer, with encryption. ("S" stands for secure). We will not get technical here, but will say that there is a high level of coding of your credit card information (all your sensitive information).
And the Secure Socket Layer means that only you and the computer you are communicating with are "talking." No other computers are listening in on the conversation. This is to prevent a hacker from using a "packet sniffer" program which can grab information off the internet. (Have you ever wondered how you get all the spam?) A packet sniffer grabs email addresses, and other information. If you send credit card information over a regular HTTP: address line you are taking a huge risk. The packet sniffing hackers are looking for such information. DO NOT DO IT.
In addition to the HTTPS line, you also need to look at the status bar at the bottom of your browser. If you do not have it turned on, it is a good idea, especially if you make online purchases. Go to your Tools menu in IE, or the View menu in Firefox to turn it on. Then, when you are on a secure site, you will see a gold lockimage of gold security lock in the lower right corner, or left corner in some browsers. Click on this lock and you will be taken to a screen that gives you shopping cart security information.
These methods are similar to the ones that your bank uses to keep its information safe. If you are still nervous about online shopping, you need to asky yourself why you are not lying awake worrying about your money in your bank? They are sending money across electronic lines, in similar fashion. Hackers are trying to break into bank systems as well. But, if you are still somewhat nervous, you can use the secure credit card system we use on this website.

My online payment system (cart) is PayPal. If you have a PayPal account (easy, no hassle to set up, no obligations), then you do not have to send your credit card information over the internet each time you use the shopping cart. Your information is securely stored by PayPal. So you make your purchases and the payment is conducted through PayPal. No credit information is transmitted over the internet each time you use it. Your credit card information is only transmitted when you first join. The PayPal shopping cart is still an HTTPS secure cart, though. You can rest assured that your transaction is private, and safe from packet sniffers.
It is possible to skip the account set up and simply use the PayPal cart directly. When you click on the PayPal donation button, you will see how easy it is to operate. But I do hope you will consider opening a PayPal account, for you own convenience. Occasionally you may need to send money to someone, etc. It is quite easy and secure with PayPal. And as I said, PayPal is a secure, reputable method. It is the system used on eBay. Thousands of transactions happen online with PayPal daily. They cannot afford to have problems with it.

How You Can Access Or Correct Your Information

You can access all your personally identifiable information that we collect online and maintain by logging onto PayPal for your credit information. Godandsoul.org does not store any such information on this website. We use this procedure to better safeguard your information.
No personal (emails are stored on the internet web mail servers), and no financial information is stored on the Godandsoul.org local computer or our webhost servers. Spambots can grab email names off the internet as they are transmitted, but the Godandsoul.org mail service is an HTTPS SSL mail service which slows a lot of email nonsense down.

Using Secure Connections for Online Purchases

REMEMBER! If you want to be sure you are on a secure website when ordering online...go to your View menu. In that menu you can access the "status" toolbar. It is one of the options there. The toolbar will appear at the bottom of your browser, on both IE and Firefox. PayPal, the "shopping cart" we provide here for donations, will display the gold lock on the bottom right hand side of IE and Firefox.
